Financial literacy with a twist …

Philly Fin Lit is an 8-week incentive-based financial literacy program offered to high school students twice a year. Classes were originally held at Temple University’s Center City campus, but have since been switched to virtual learning due to COVID-19. Classes provide students with practical financial knowledge along with first hand testimonies from notable guest speakers on the importance of a strong financial understanding.

What makes this financial literacy course different from other programs is our use of incentives, or to put it more bluntly, cash! By incentivizing our students to show up and participate, we are able to achieve a level of engagement and knowledge retention not seen in other programs.

Philadelphia Futures has partnered with us on our financial literacy efforts. Working together has allowed us to assist in their goal of providing opportunities to low-income first-generation-to-college students, while also furthering our mission of connecting the kids of Philly with the professionals of Philly.

If you would like to donate to the Philly Fin Lit program and help us continue providing knowledge and resources to students in need, please consider making a donation.
